Stamps!

This has been a long time coming! I've finally partnered with Magenta to offer a collection of rubber stamps designed by me. The rubber stamps are available with wood backing and on foam mounted cling. The quality of the stamps is wonderful and I'm very proud to have collaborated with this great company. You can purchase them here :)

Saltwater Farm Wedding : Diane + David

Stonington, Connecticut

lodging: inn at stonington

ceremony and reception: saltwater farm

floral design: Adam's Garden of Eden

entertainment: Clockwork

catering: Gourmet Galley

ringbearer bowl: paloma's nest

It was an insanely gorgeous day at Saltwater Farm for Diane and David's wedding. The rain had poured down so torrentially the day before that it took us hours to make the usually quick drive up to Stonington, Connecticut. Despite the gloomy day prior the wedding day dawned bright and clear with an incredible crispness to the light.

I was greeted by Diane's beautiful engagement ring and a delicate Paloma's Nest ring bearer bowl.

I first met Diane's sister at a wedding where she had been a bridesmaid. It's always an honor to be referred to a client from a past client so thank you Rachel!!

Some rain lingered on the patio and I used it to create a sense of time and place in these simple detail portraits.

Diane and her mom were fantastic together -- I love, love, love it when people don't try to hold back emotion!

When we got to Saltwater Farm my mind was totally blown. It was like the entire place was build for me to photograph -- it has ALL of the elements that I love.

Amazing silhouette opportunities? Check.

Dark backgrounds and ridiculously good light? Check.

A charming location for family and bridal party formals? Check.

Sweet, meaningful details? Check -- and a fantastic ring bearer to go along with them!

Not a dry eye in the house during the ceremony? Check.

Perfect cocktail hour light and sweet guests? Check.

Portraits at sunset....with a basset hound AND a winery? You're just messing with me now, right?

Nope, still amazing. Perfect reception sidelight.

I couldn't make this up if I tried, y'all.

A groom so joyous that he couldn't stop crying....all night? That too.

A party so fun and vibrant that we didn't want to go home at the end of the night? Check and double check.

Diane and David, words cannot describe how moved I was by your entire day. From the stunning relationship that Diane has with her sisters, to the immaculate light that literally followed us everywhere, to the sweetest wedding venue I've seen in years your day was a marvel. I know that it was often mentioned that you were born on the same day in the same hospital but that's just a great coincidence. The real miracle is that you found each other and the beautiful way you love each other. You didn't leave each other's sides all night long and it's clear that not only are you husband and wife but you're best friends. It was a deep honor to document your day for you.

Wythe Hotel and Giando Wedding : Stephanie + Salvatore

The Wythe Hotel and Giando, Brooklyn

lodging for bride and groom: wythe hotel

ceremony and reception: giando

floral design: One Up Event Design

entertainment: Pure Entertainment

cinematography: Cinema-Roll

It was an absolute treat to photograph Salvatore and Stephanie's wedding at the Wythe Hotel and Giando's in Brooklyn. Sal owns Cinema-Roll, a New York-based wedding cinematography company, and it is always a great honor to be hired to document the day of a wedding industry peer! The day began at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, which is a fantastic renovated factory with huge windows and massive ceilings. From there we went to Giando on the Water, a cozy wedding venue in Brooklyn with stunning views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges. Despite the torrential rain the day was bright and sweet.

Sal and Steph, THANK YOU. Thank you for trusting me, for braving the rain with me, for laughing in the face of bad weather, and for being bright lights on a dark, dreary day. Your joy over getting married overshadowed any dark clouds we could possibly have outdoors and it was an honor to photograph your wedding. I hope that you have a tremendous trip to Savannah and that there are many more imported-from-Spain bowties in your near future!
